Q: How is HealthStyle Fitness Different?

A: We realize that sometimes it’s difficult for the consumer to distinguish between personal trainers and facilities. The unfortunate truth is simply that the fitness industry is complete unregulated today. In the state of Ohio, a person can become and practice the science of personal training without any credentials. So essentially someone can create, implement and take you through a training program with no background, college degree, certification, experience or qualification.

The Trainers: Our training staff is known throughout the industry and collaborates on a daily basis with the most respected fitness & nutrition experts in the nation, including Kelli Calabrese, Phil Kaplan, Dr. Chris Mohr, Jonathan Ross, Brian Schiff, among many others. Our network of Registered Dieticians, Physical Therapists, Leading Fitness Professionals and Doctors allow us to continually aspire to and acquire the highest level of knowledge with the sole purpose of delivering the safest, most effective and stimulating programs to all of our clients.

We go well beyond counting repetitions and changing weight levels on machines; our goal is to educate and empower you for health, fitness and weight loss success. Our passion is helping you.

 

Private Studio:
The HealthStyle Fitness Personal Training Studio is a 'home away from home' private studio that is not your typical crowded gym. The atmosphere here is very different.

Because you are always with your own personal trainer, there is never a 'crowd' watching or people wandering around wasting time. We individually cater to clients who are serious about improving their overall health, reducing weight and stress levels and reaping the benefits of living a healthier lifestyle. 

As a result, our environment is motivating and non-intimidating. We work hard to inspire our clients to pursue realistic goals--goals that can fit into each person's schedule and way of life.

Q: How Does HealthStyle Fitness Work with Clients?

A: We have essentially three options:

Private One-on-One Personal Training
Personal training is the fastest, most effective and most legitimate weight loss and fitness optimization strategy available. Working with a well regarded personal training team, people learn more about proper nutrition and exercise than they could learn reading 10 books or exercising on their own for years.

Our One-on-One Private training means there is one client and one trainer (unless you add a friend or spouse to your session). You're never a part of group and you'll never have to share a trainer. We believe that every second of your workout must be carefully orchestrated and executed by a qualified personal trainer, and that a private environment is essential for peace of mind & effective communication between you and your trainer.

At the private studio, you don't compete with anyone else for your trainer's complete attention, or for the use of the equipment. Instead, you'll find it surprisingly easy to focus on yourself and -- with your trainer's one-on-one help -- you'll be able to take total control of your mind, health & body.

Small Group Fitness Training - Total Fitness Makeover
The Total Fitness Makeover has been designed to integrate fun, energizing, empowering and time-efficient personal training sessions in a small group for a workout that delivers results, at a fraction of the cost of hiring a personal trainer.

Adventure Fitness Boot Camp is a four week outdoor (except for Dec, Jan & Feb - we're indoors!) fitness program that offers fitness instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training - packed with a lot of fun and energizing activities designed to help you elevate metabolism, reduce stress, reach your fitness goals. Q: How Do I Get Started with HealthStyle Fitness and My Trainer?

Step One:
We begin with a health and fitness consultation where we thoroughly review your health history, learn about and discuss your needs, establish goals and set timelines, and then conduct a detailed health and fitness analysis (Click Here for Info on the Health & Fitness Analysis). At your first session we’ll also discuss and set up a schedule that fits your needs and desires.

Step Two:
After your consultation and analysis, you'll then join Brian in a small group for the 90 Minute Foundational Workshop - "Clearing Up the Myths, Sharing the Realities & Empowering You for Success". After the workshop you'll have a crystal clear understanding of your path to your optimal health, fitness and body - you'll be on your way with a newfound enthusiasm and motivation.

After your Foundational Workshop, all clients are given full access to the leading online nutritional software system that ensures they are getting the right balance of nutrients for their individual goals (click here to view the demo).

Step Three:
You're now ready to start working with your personal trainer to begin moving toward your health, fitness and weight loss goals. We offer a pay as you go plan - you are free to schedule as frequently or infrequently as you like (minimum of one session per week) and discontinue training at anytime.

Our approach has lead to literally over one thousands weight loss successes throughout greater Cincinnati...and best of all, it’s a simple and easy program to follow once you get started. In fact, in a few short months, it just becomes a part of what you do (your new lifestyle) and you'll never feel deprived.

The start up process, although thorough & detailed, is quick and easy - We'll get you started as soon as you're ready! 

 

Q: What will I be doing in each workout?

A: Your workout is designed based upon your health history, your goals, any current limitations and your time available for exercise. Our focus is to educate you on all of the essential components of good health: flexibility, stamina, endurance, strength and weight reduction, and of course, take you through well developed training sessions. Clients generally start to feel better, physically and mentally, the first week they begin their training.

 

Q: Do you help me with my nutrition and eating?

A: Definitely.

Each client attends the Foundational Nutrition Workshop where we teach you everything that you need to know about eating the right foods with the right frequency to elevate metabolism and lose significant body fat. All clients are given full access to the leading online nutritional software system that ensures they are getting the right balance of nutrients for their individual goals (click here to view the demo). Our approach has lead to literally over one thousands weight loss successes throughout greater Cincinnati...and best of all, it’s a simple and easy program to follow once you get started. In fact, in a few short months, it just becomes a part of what you do and you'll never feel deprived. 

We are also excited to let you know that after much research, several failed attempts, and more searching and testing, we have created a partnership with PurFoods Fitness to deliver healthy, nutrient rich and great tasting meals to your home. Q: Are you going to make me look like a body builder?

A: If you're looking to become a body builder, we'll refer you to the trainers who specialize in physique contests preparation - that's not our specialty. We’ll be training you to be physically fit and healthy, to lose weight, get in shape and to enhance energy & vitality. You will build some lean, toned muscle as you train, and your body will change positively as a result.

 

Q: Are you going to sell me a huge package of training sessions or use high pressure sales tactics?

A: Absolutely not!

We are professional trainers who work with clients because it's simply our lifelong passion and labor of love. Many gyms, health clubs, fitness centers and personal trainers entice you into signing up for 8, 12, 24 sessions, sometimes even months of personal training. We are so confident in our approach that we offer pay as you go personal training and you can discontinue at any time. We simply don't feel the need to lock anyone into a long contract or sell huge personal training packages.

Our programs are endorsed by medical doctors and have been featured in THE WALL STREET JOURNAL. We treat you with respect and professionalism. Simply put, we want you to feel 100% comfortable at all times.

 

Q: Are there a lot of other people in the studio while I’m training?

A: During your personal training session, there will never be more than a handful of people working out simultaneously. Therefore you are not waiting for equipment or having others people staring at you during your session. Our goal is to make you feel 100% comfortable here at HealthStyle Fitness. Everyone, from the trainers to the clients have fun, support each other and are very courteous.

 

Q: How long is each session?

A: Private one-on-one training last for an hour as does each our small group fitness classes. Our training incorporates multiple muscle group movements allowing us to accomplish a maximum amount of fitness in the shortest amount of time. Of course, we progress clients based upon their existing condition level - new exercisers begin gently and more advanced enthusiast progress more aggressively.

 

Q: What should I wear?

A: Wear what you’re comfortable wearing. Most clients train in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Some wear sweats. It doesn't matter as long as you feel comfortable.

 

Q: Can my spouse, children or friend train with me too?

A: Without a doubt! In fact, we encourage it. Our goal is to help as many Cincinnatians as possible and getting your friends and family involved is a great way to develop a support network and will help everyone look and feel great!

 

Q: Can I come in anytime I want?

A: All training sessions are by appointment. We start working with clients as early as 5:00am or as late as 8:00pm. At your consultation, we'll set up a meeting time that's convenient for you. With our approach, you’ll make sure you get to your workouts. Chances are if you put it off, you won’t do it, continuing your frustration with reaching your health & fitness goals.

 

Q: I feel a little nervous about getting started, I have never done anything like this before.

A: Many new clients felt that way - it's completely okay. What we find is after you meet us, you feel exceptionally comfortable with our staff and training approach. We are guided by a simple passion for helping people - we thrive by educating clients and designing programs that take them well beyond their goals, beyond what they ever thought was possible. We're here to support you and bring out your best health, fitness and body. That's our promise and commitment to you.

 

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Private personal training ranges from $50 - $75 per session, depending on your trainer (most trainers are $50). If you add a spouse, child or friend to your session the cost is significantly lower per person.

Our small group Total Fitness Makeover program ranges from $17 - 25 per session depending on how long you participate. Due to the high demand of the TFM program, we do ask that tuition is either paid in full or you use the monthly payment plan to secure your placement in the program.
